Migraines, fatigue, burnout, sleepless nights… we push forward, until something forces us to stop. This workshop is an invitation to pause. To breathe. To reconnect with yourself — and to discover simple, sustainable ways to thrive in both your practice and your life. What You’ll Experience ✨ Honest conversation about the unique pressures women face in law. ✨ Two guided Reiki-infused meditations to release stress and restore balance. ✨ Journaling prompts to help you reflect and reset. ✨ Practical tools you can use from your desk to calm your nervous system (breathwork, posture resets, mini-meditations, vagus nerve resets). ✨ Gentle strategies for building resilience into your office, your practice, and your relationships. Meet Your Guide I’m Amanda McCordic — a lawyer, wife, and mother, called to the bar in 2009. I started as a Family Legal Aid lawyer and later opened my own Family Law practice. In April 2020, at the age of 36, I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. That moment changed everything. Today, I’m a Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki Master and lawyer who helps other women learn what I had to learn the hard way: how to live and practice sustainably. I believe you don’t have to sacrifice your health to succeed in law.     Break Free from Mental Overload In today’s fast-paced world, many of us live on autopilot. We juggle work, family, and endless to-do lists. This event offers a chance to pause, reconnect, and restore your energy. It’s perfect for busy professionals, caregivers, parents, and anyone feeling mentally drained. If you’re constantly overwhelmed, this space is for you. What to Expect at the Event We begin with a warm 20-minute welcome and invocation. You’ll get an introduction to our community, our mission, and the purpose of the event. This sets the tone for deep, intentional healing. Next, we move into a calming 50-minute Reiki session. Reiki helps release tension, clear energy blockages, and restore emotional balance. This portion is led by a skilled practitioner. Afterward, we spend 20 minutes journaling and sharing. This helps process your experience and connect with others. We then close the circle with a short reflection. Hosted by Cami Hoang.
